Say "hello" to Valor.

I've Had Training!   Please take a second look at me.     No cats or small dogs

Whatever life Valor had before arriving in our rescue was not a happy one. He has scars on his face from a dog fight in which he was the loser. Valor was obviously treated harshly as he cowers if bumped with a knee when walking. He responds beautifully to gentle management and is very affectionate and loving. Valor is protective of his space, not out of aggression, but out of fear. He will do best as an only dog or possibly with a submissive female dog his own size or larger.

Valor loves to be petted and told what a wonderful boy he is. He has received professional training and he is a star pupil. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves to please. His coat is thick and shiny and he looks positively magnificent.

We think that the person who was cruel to Valor was a man, so he would prefer a home with a woman or a gentle man to reassure him that he'll never be harmed again.
