Schatzie was found by a good samaritan when leaving the house to take his daughter to school. Schatzie was in their front yard and when the daughter saw her, she started crying.Schatzie appeared to be badly injured. They thought she had been shot in the head because she had a deep puncture wound and her eye was bulging. We received the frantic call asking for help. Because time was of the essence, we told the good samaritan to get her to our Vet immediately.
After x-rays and examination, the Vet thinks she was attacked by another animal. Schatzie is recovering nicely from her injuries and her eye will be fine thanks to her two guardian angels who found her and reacted immediately.
Schatzie is brand new and we're getting to know her personality. What we do know so far is that she's a very happy and friendly girl. She's great with people and appears to be friendly as well with other dogs. At a recent adoption event, she kept trying to engage the other dogs in play! She has a beautiful sable coat and will probably be about 80 lbs. as she is a big-boned girl.
